The Florida Kings 10U program is a key step in a young player’s hockey journey, designed to build strong fundamentals while fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game. Serving players ages 9–10, the program provides a supportive, structured environment where athletes develop at their own pace while being challenged appropriately.

Practices focus on skating development, puck control, passing, positioning, and overall hockey IQ. Game play reinforces these skills while teaching players how to compete with effort, sportsmanship, and respect for teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents.

The Florida Kings emphasize development over labels. Players are placed in environments that best support their growth, with a consistent coaching philosophy and clear expectations across the entire 10U program. Every athlete is encouraged to work hard, improve daily, and take pride in representing the Florida Kings on and off the ice.

The Florida Kings travel program is part of a larger development pathway in partnership with Boca Ice, creating a seamless progression from foundational programs into travel hockey and beyond. This approach ensures continuity in coaching, skill development, and player expectations as athletes advance through the organization.

At the 10U level, the focus remains on long-term development — building habits, confidence, and a strong hockey foundation that prepares players for future success while keeping the game fun and rewarding.
