Coach Michelle
Hockey Director

Michelle serves as Hockey Director at Boca Ice and brings a strong passion for player development and program leadership. With a focus on skill progression fundamentals and positive culture Michelle is dedicated to creating an environment where athletes can grow both on and off the ice. She works closely with coaches players and families to ensure consistent development standards and a high quality hockey experience at every level. Michelle’s leadership and commitment play a key role in advancing the Kings mission and supporting the long term success of the program.

Coach EJ
10 U Assistant Coach

EJ Faust From Toronto Ontario, EJ’s career started in Minnesota at Shattuck St-Mary’s before he moved on to Jr. A Hockey in Toronto for the Aurora Tigers. Following his first year of junior hockey EJ moved up to the QMJHL, Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, making the team as a walk-on. He finished his junior career in New Brunswick playing Jr. A for the Woodstock Slammers. EJ concluded his career at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario and played 4 years of Canadian University Hockey (CIS), before moving to South Florida. 

Coach Josh
12U & 18U AA Head Coach

Josh Haverstrom grew up playing hockey in Orlando, Florida, before leaving home at 15 to join the Pikes Peak Miners in Colorado, where he played AAA hockey. His journey then took him  to junior hockey, where he played with the Idaho Jr. Steelheads in the WSHL and the Wichita Falls Wildcats in the NAHL.

Josh was fortunate to continue his hockey career at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where, during his sophomore year, his team made history by becoming the first in school history to reach the Frozen Four of the NCAA Division III finals. However, his playing career came to an unexpected end during Josh’s junior year after undergoing his second hip surgery.

Over the past seven years, Josh has coached hockey at all levels, from 8U minor to 18U AAA. As someone who grew up in Florida, he take immense pride in helping the next generation of players in the state develop their skills and passion for the game that has given Josh so much.

Coach Cole
10U Head Coach

Cole serves as the 10U Head Coach and an Assistant Coach for the 8U program with the Kings. He is passionate about developing young players through strong fundamentals skill progression and a positive team first culture. Cole focuses on building confidence work ethic and hockey IQ while creating an environment where athletes can learn compete and enjoy the game. His hands on approach and commitment to player growth make him a valuable leader within the Kings program.

Coach Christian
10 U Assistant Coach

Christian Long brings extensive experience across every level of hockey, from youth through college, beginning his coaching career at age 17. A former NCAA Division I athlete at Colgate University, he also competed in Junior A hockey in Canada and later played semi professional hockey in Hong Kong while working in private equity, earning First Team All Star honors and serving as the CIHL Community Relations Manager. Beyond his playing career, Christian founded a student athlete advisory service that guided 12 future NCAA athletes including one NHL player, and he remains deeply involved in youth development, highlighted by leading Team North America Selects U15 to a silver medal at the 2023 Bauer World Cup in Italy. He is also the founder and CEO of an education technology company and has built an elite collegiate coaching résumé, including multiple AAU national championship appearances, College Hockey South Coach of the Year honors, and an overall record of 48 10 2 with an .817 win percentage.

Coach Robby
12U Head Coach

Robby Rosenthal brings an impressive 20 years of hockey experience. His deep-seated passion for the game was ignited at the age of three when his grandparents took him to a Panther's game, setting the stage for a lifelong love of hockey.

He spent his younger years excelling in AAA leagues with the Jr. Panthers and Florida Alliance. Later, he emerged as a pivotal four-year Captain at North Broward Prep, guiding the team to an outstanding four consecutive State Championships. Throughout his playing career, Robby had the privilege of learning from distinguished coaches like Peter Worrell, Tomas Vokoun, Radek Dvorak, Olli Jokinen, Ray Sheppard, Jeff Chrychrun, Cory Stillman and other notable figures. Now, he eagerly aims to share this wealth of knowledge with the Florida Kings players.

While pursuing a degree in public relations at The University of Alabama, Robby served as an equipment manager for the football team. He immediately reconnected with hockey by joining the coaching staff at the Coral Springs Makos.

A true enthusiast of the game, Robby's coaching philosophy revolves around nurturing player development and ensuring a fulfilling experience for his team. During his leisure time, he indulges in watching and playing hockey or enjoys a round of golf with friends.

Coach Luke
8U Head Coach / Player Development

Luke Kirwan brings elite-level playing experience and a deep understanding of high-performance hockey to his role with the Florida Kings. During his playing career, Kirwan was regarded as one of the top players in the world within the 1997 birth year, competing and excelling alongside peers such as Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, Matthew Tkachuk, and other top international prospects.

Kirwan was a member of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP) and represented Team USA in multiple international tournaments. His accomplishments include winning a World Championship, Five Nations Championship, and Four Nations Championship, as well as being selected to compete in the USA Hockey All-American All-Star Game.

At the junior level, Kirwan competed in both the OHL and QMJHL, gaining valuable experience in two of the premier development leagues in the world. He also earned invitations to NHL training camps with the Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets, further solidifying his status as a high-level prospect.

Kirwan’s playing career was ultimately cut short due to injury, but his exposure to elite coaching, international competition, and professional environments now shapes his coaching philosophy. He brings firsthand knowledge of what it takes to perform at the highest levels and uses those experiences to guide player development, emphasizing detail, accountability, mental toughness, and long-term growth.

As a coach with the Florida Kings, Kirwan is committed to helping players maximize their potential, instilling professional habits, and preparing athletes for advancement at the junior, collegiate, and professional levels

Coach Nikita
10 U Head Coach

Nikita Krivokrasov, born on December 23, 2000, in Woodbury, Minnesota, is a former professional ice hockey player turned coach, renowned for his dedication to developing young talent in the sport. Growing up in a hockey-centric family, he was heavily influenced by his father, Sergei Krivokrasov, a ten-year NHL veteran. Although Nikita does not recall watching his father play, he cherishes the memories of visiting locker rooms and absorbing the professional atmosphere from a young age.

​Nikita's hockey journey began with the Rocky Mountain Roughriders, where he showcased his talent and determination. He progressed through the ranks, eventually playing in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for teams like the Prince Albert Raiders, Tri-City Americans, and Prince George Cougars. Notably, he excelled during his time with the Cougars, where he demonstrated his hard-nosed playing style and ability to contribute to the team's success.

Seeking international experience, Nikita spent two seasons in Finland, playing for Mikkeli Jukurit in the Liiga, along with stints in Mestis and the U20 SM-sarja. His time in these leagues honed his skills further, allowing him to compete at a high level and gain invaluable insights into the game.

After concluding his playing career, Nikita transitioned into coaching, driven by a passion for mentorship and player development. He launched an online coaching platform designed to provide aspiring hockey players with personalized training, technical skill development, and mental conditioning strategies. His platform reflects the lessons he learned throughout his own career and aims to instill the same work ethic and dedication in the next generation of players.

Nikita’s journey, shaped by his family’s influence and his experiences on and off the ice, continues to inspire him as he strives to elevate young athletes and help them reach their full potential in the world of hockey.

Coach Taylor
14U Head Coach

Taylor Krechel who is originally from Sausalito, California, Taylor's playing career consists of major midget AAA in British Columbia (2005-07) after which he went on to play Juniors in both British Columbia and Saskatchewan.  Taylor finished his playing career at Minot University (D1) where he competed for 4 years. Prior to joining the Florida Kings, Taylor was the head coach of the Lynn University Men's Hockey Team.

Taylor was most recently the Head Coach of the Florida Kings 12UA team for the 23/24 season.
