12U Hockey
2025/2026

The Florida Kings 12U program represents an important stage in a player’s development, where foundational skills are refined and players begin to deepen their understanding of the game. Designed for athletes ages 11–12, this division emphasizes skill progression, game awareness, and personal responsibility within a supportive and competitive environment.

Practices are structured to build strong skating habits, puck control, passing, positioning, and hockey IQ, while also introducing more advanced concepts such as decision-making, pace of play, and team structure. Players are encouraged to challenge themselves, embrace learning moments, and continue developing confidence on the ice.

The 12U program focuses on effort, accountability, and sportsmanship, helping players learn how to compete with integrity while supporting their teammates. Coaches prioritize long-term development, ensuring each athlete is placed in an environment that best supports their growth and prepares them for the next level of play.

The Florida Kings 12U division is part of a comprehensive development pathway in partnership with Boca Ice, providing consistency in coaching philosophy, expectations, and player development from introductory programs through advanced levels of competition.

At the 12U level, players continue building the habits and mindset needed for future success — both in hockey and beyond — while maintaining a strong focus on enjoying the game, growing as teammates, and representing the Florida Kings with pride on and off the ice.
