The Florida Kings 16U program is designed for athletes ages 15–16 who are committed to continued growth, accountability, and competitive play. At this stage, players are challenged to refine their skills, elevate their hockey IQ, and compete with purpose while remaining grounded in strong development principles.

Practices focus on advanced skating, puck management, situational awareness, and decision-making at game speed. Players are expected to take greater ownership of their development, demonstrate consistent effort, and contribute positively to a team-first culture.

The 16U program emphasizes preparation — for higher levels of hockey and for life beyond the rink. Coaches reinforce discipline, resilience, leadership, and professionalism, helping athletes understand what it means to represent the Florida Kings with pride on and off the ice.

As part of the Florida Kings’ comprehensive development pathway in partnership with Boca Ice, the 16U division provides continuity in coaching philosophy, expectations, and player development.

At the 16U level, the focus remains on long-term growth — building habits, confidence, and character while competing in a challenging environment that prepares players for future opportunities in hockey and beyond.
