18U Hockey
2025/2026
The Florida Kings 18U program represents the final stage of youth development within the organization, designed for athletes ages 17–18 who are preparing for the next chapter of their hockey journey. At this level, players are challenged to compete at a high standard while demonstrating leadership, accountability, and a strong commitment to personal growth.
Practices emphasize advanced skill execution, game strategy, situational awareness, and consistency at game speed. Players are expected to take ownership of their development, contribute to a team-first culture, and lead by example both on and off the ice.
The 18U program focuses on preparing athletes for future opportunities in hockey and beyond — whether at the junior, collegiate, or recreational level. Coaches prioritize long-term development, discipline, and professionalism, helping players refine the habits and mindset needed to succeed in competitive environments.
As part of the Florida Kings’ comprehensive development pathway in partnership with Boca Ice, the 18U division builds on years of consistent coaching philosophy, expectations, and skill development.
At the 18U level, the emphasis is on finishing strong — competing with integrity, supporting teammates, and representing the Florida Kings with pride while developing the confidence, resilience, and character that extend far beyond the rink.
